Winter Skin Care Tips

  1. Stay Moisturized – Swap out your lotion for a cream. Try Plush.md’s Hydrate Plus which has emollients, ceramides and humectants that hydrate, soften and protect your skin against dryness.
  2. Use Sunscreen – Sun protection is not just for the summer months. You need to protect your skin from harmful UV rays all year long, rain or shine. Be sure you use a broad-spectrum sunscreen containing at least 9% zinc oxide for superior protection. EltaMD UV Daily with SPF 40 is a perfect choice and even comes in a tinted version.
  3. Add a Hyaluronic Acid Serum – Hyaluronic acid binds 1000 times it weight in water. Quench, from the Plush.MD medical skin line, a luxurious hyaluronic acid serum, penetrates deep within the skin and provides all day moisture retention to visibly reduces the signs of aging.
  4. Avoid Hot Showers – Instead take warm showers and limit them to 10 minutes. Be sure to apply moisturizer while your skin is still damp to help seal in hydration.
  5. Use a Humidifier – Hot air from heating units can cause skin to dry out. Humidifiers infuse the air in your home with moisture to help soothe your dry skin.
  6. Stay Hydrated – Dry skin tells you that you need to drink more water.
  7. Lip Care – Your lips need protection from the cold elements so try using a lip treatment with SPF. Our InstaPlump lip treatment protects lips while helping restore hydration and youthful volume.
