There is no visible injury to the skin’s outer layers. This tissue is gently heated, causing it to contract and eventually lift. As a result, formerly loose skin appears subtly tightened.

Unlike other fractional systems which use laser light through ablation, the eMatrix™ uses bi-polar radio frequency energy to heat below the skin surface while keeping the top layer of skin intact. By bypassing the epidermis and delivering heat to the deeper dermal layer, it minimizes the problems associated with resurfacing lasers, including hyperpigmentation.

Because the eMatrix treatment allows for deeper penetration of the skin, it’s better able to reach the underlying areas and spur new collagen production. With this method, we can achieve the same results you’d expect with more aggressive laser treatments but with a much faster recovery time.

Each pulse of the eMatrix laser delivers radio frequency energy in the area of the electrode matrix, to induce skin injury, and activates fibroblasts to signal a wound healing response and produce new collagen. Numbing cream is applied prior to treatment. Mild redness and swelling are common for a few hours after treatment. Make–up may be applied after treatment. A series of 3 to 5 sessions is recommended, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Most results appear over a period of three to six months, but some patients notice results immediately after treatment.
