The Chin Is In
Do you dislike your jawline and/or chin? You are not alone. What most people want is youthful, chiseled chin and jawline, along with high, plump cheeks. Although surgery will improve your appearance, there are several non-surgical options that will give you the look you desire.
Your nose and chin should be on the same plane to give a balanced, well-proportioned look. When helping clients decide on the best treatment(s), I spend time reviewing every part of the face, so the end result gives them an attractive, youthful appearance. Sometimes that means the addition of threads, such as NovaThreads, to lift the mid and lower face, and possibly the addition of an energy-based skin tightening treatment to define the jawline and upper part of the neck. My choice for skin tightening is ThermiTight, which is a one-time comfortable treatment that gives visible results.
Unfortunately, the lower third of the face tends to show aging first. The appearance of jowls, which is due to sagging skin, can be improved by strategically adding volume with a filler such as Radiesse. This will help contour the jawline and create a more chiseled, youthful look. Radiesse is also an excellent choice to enhance deflated cheeks. I also use Radiesse to add projection to the chin – “the non-surgical chinplant”.
