Driven mechanically by the engine, it generates the negative pressure the brake servo requires for power assisted braking. A diesel engine produces little usable manifold vacuum, so this pump supplies the servo directly, maintaining consistent assistance across all load conditions. Supplied as a complete pump assembly.
